I want to thank the faculty and the dean especially for making this night possible, especially by providing some funding so we could offer you drinks and sandwiches. Special thanks to the quiz team, without whose invaluable help the quiz would not have been possible: Ine, Isabelle and Leen, thank you! Thanks to Karel and Nic for making the IT part nice and easy. A big thanks to Koen and Sofie for helping out a great deal on the night itself and for keeping me sane during preparations. And finally thanks to all the people who generously lent a hand with the final preparations: the MSI boys (Kevin, Meric, Wim, Vincent, Sam, ...) and Marjolein from ORSTAT. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, if I have, please know that your help was much appreciated!
And finally... what you have been waiting for... the quiz results!
The winners of the FEB quiz 2010 were Pieter Hens, Geert Monsieur, Wouter Verbeke and Jan Pellegrims from 'Ge moest beschaamd zijn!'. Ironically enough, they had little reason to be ashamed since they beat the second in line, The A-team, with a whopping 12 points. The top 3 is completed by Eyjafjallajökull. Congrats to the winners!
We are happy to announce that the winning team is enthusiastic about organising the 2011 edition of the FEB quiz next year! Numerous creative ideas already flowed over a 'pintje' last night, so I am sure it will become a memorable event. I hope you will all join again next year!
