After a movie night, the barbecue and a lazy summer, it’s time to announce a more sporty activity:
Paintball!mask, check. gun, check. bad-assery in bright orange vests, double check.
Most of you will probably know this sport, but may have not practised it yet due to a lack of proper opponents. What better targets than your dearest colleagues!
For those who do not know paintball: it’s a game in which players compete in teams to eliminate opponents by hitting them with capsules containing paint (don’t worry girls, you get an overall not to get dirty). Phd academy gives you the ultimate opportunity to enjoy this shooting game with your collegues at a reasonable price!
Some practical information:
When: Saturday, 23 October 2010
Location: The Gathering Paintball, Gabbelsrode 119, 3320 Kortrijk-Dutsel, situated at only 10 km from Leuven. There’s a good bus connection and if the weather permits, you can even go by bike.
Price: 22 euro per person, including all materials: 100 paintballs to start, combat belt, mask, Marker WG-65 gun and overall.
Extra paintballs: 5 euro for 100 paintballs
If you want to participate in this activity, please send an email to phd.academy@econ.kuleuven.be, mentioning the following information: first name and family name, whether you are a lefthanded shooter, whether you wear glasses.
The paintball session will start at 1pm and we plan to play for about 2-3 hours. This gives us plenty of time to return to Leuven, freshen up and meet again for dinner for those who wish. Those who register will still receive an email with more the details later.
Registration is possible until october 1st and will only be valid when the fee of 22 euros is paid
